NOTABLE PROJECTS

Refurbishment of SPS T01, T06 & T09, Toukley NSW

Design Manager

Ben was the design manager and coordinator for the civil, structural, mechanical and electrical design for the refurbishment of three sewage pump stations located at Toukley on the Central Coast of NSW. The design included the conversion of three wet well / dry well stations to conventional wet well pump station with submersible sewage pumps. The design also converted the existing wet wells into in-line emergency storage and relocated the existing switch room off the roof of the existing station.

Projects Key Features:

  • Coordinate detailed design with on-site constraints and Contractors methodology to establish temporary sewage bypass system.

  • Design control levels to maximise emergency storage volume and minimise construction cost.

  • Concrete caisson design for additional emergency storage tanks.

  • Cut over design to mitigate construction risk on live sewerage assets.

Part of the construction also was a new shared pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.

Sewage Pump Station, Leppington NSW

Design of a new sewage pump station for Sydney Water in Leppington, located in Sydney’s’ South-West Region.

The scope of work included the design of a new wet wall, valve chamber, emergency storage tank, interconnecting gravity main, pressure main, bypass connection, emergency overflow relief structure and associated civil access works.

The use of the pump station will enable the development of the land for residential and commercial subdivisions that would otherwise not have been connected to the water authority sewerage system. The $8M Project is now complete and will make a positive impact to this growth corridor in South-West Sydney.
