Bunnings Warehouse, Edwardstown SA

Senior Drafter 

Proposed Bunnings warehouse on a limited site required a suspended building to allow carparking under: 

  • Nonstandard steelwork sizes and connection.

  • Suspended warehouse detailing. 

 

Complex steelwork detailing for pre-engineered structure, suspended precast panel walls, and shade sail posts on composite floor structure. Close communications with engineer on design and detailing and reviewing of workshop drawings.

Marrickville Freezers, Moorebank NSW

Senior Drafter 

Demolition of existing warehouse with site retaining issues to be resolved. Southern boundary retained by neighbouring building walls; western boundary retained by deteriorating batter:

  • Part storage warehouse part freezer/chiller.

  • Retained site along two boundary lines. 

 

Asbestos from site was a financial issue to remove. This was resolved by containing a below ground contaminated fill section within the proposed building footprint. Restricted access to southern boundary due to existing neighbouring building. A reinforced earth wall was detailed to remove the load off existing building and allow construction in stages. 

Kapunda Supermarket, Old Adelaide Road Kapunda SA

Senior Drafter 

Proposed supermarket with partial precast panel walls, roof plant platform, internal freezer rooms, external plan area:

  • Detailed structural drafting. 

  • Complex roof structure + roof plant platform. 

 

Complex architectural roof design with multiple gables and ridges and roof plant platform, partial building retaining. In depth structural detailing was required to ensure all connections were documented. Precast panel walls designed to retain external levels; roof structure designed to support precast panel facade.
